Sporthorse Potential Calculator

Welcome to the Sporthorse Potential Calculator! Use this tool however you wish. Take the first result on all your horses as law, or re-randomize until you see what you're looking for. You can randomize your horse's potential in all/some of: dressage, show jumping & hunters, eventing, and combined driving, and the randomizer can consider the maximum competition level achieved by one, both, or neither parents.

Breed Type:

Sporthorse refers to any horse 14.3hh/150cm or taller other than a Warmblood that is bred for Olympic equestrian sports, regardless of its eligibility for traditional Warmblood stud books. This can be a Thoroughbred, an Anglo-Arabian, or any foundational sport cross (something x TB, something x WB) that has the right build and temperament for sport riding and driving. Light horse refers to non-draft horses 14.3hh/150cm or taller that are not typically bred exclusively for the sport disciplines. This includes but is not limited to Arabians, stock breeds, gaited breeds, and baroques. Ponies stand under 14.3hh/150cm. Drafts are any heavy horse, regardless of height, typically bred for farming work. The Norwegian Fjord, for example, is typically of "pony" height but is considered a draft horse breed, not a pony. Owners wishing to show their Icelandics in sports should use the pony category even though the breed does not consider itself a pony, simply because these are very small horses built for generalized work on flat.
